Relatively speaking we got off easy with Hurricane Katrina. A handful of small downed trees and some water damage around window sills. Others close by were not so lucky. Just a few minutes outside my community we saw some major damage consisting of down trees and flooding. Really big trees. This picture doesn't do justice to the size of it. There is actually a kid in a white shirt sitting on the trunk of the tree.The lack of A/C is making things tense at the house. I left early today for the game just to get some A/C in the car. It isn't all bad though. We can still use the water and I think I lost a pound or two from all the sweating I'm doing. Hopefully there won't be to many more nights without power.
